Hindu nationalism, Khalistani extremism among new threats: Leaked UK govt report

A UK Home Office commission, set up in August 2024, has flagged Hindu nationalist extremism and Khalistani extremism among nine emerging threats to national security, according to its now-leaked report. This marks the first time that Hindutva has been recognised as an "ideology of concern" in the UK, following the 2022 Leicester clashes between Hindus and Muslims after an India-Pakistan cricket match.
